The Federal Government has provided a lot of resources with official information regarding COVID-19.

The government announced that there will be additional assistance for people whose earnings have decreased.

The Ministry of Education is providing financial support to parents to assist with the costs of educational resources during school and child care closures as a result of Ontario’s declared emergency to stop the spread of COVID-19.

The federal government is expanding a loan program for small- and medium-sized businesses suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic and working on new support for companies having trouble paying rent. The Canadian Emergency Business Account will now provide up to $40,000 in government-guaranteed loans to businesses that had payrolls between $20,000 and $1.5 million last year.

And here is some personal experience from yesterday.
I went to Highland Farm at Dufferin and Major Mac in Maple, ON, at 5 pm and the line was about 5-10 minutes.
I purchased almost everything I wanted, even toilet paper. No sanitizers. In this store and many others, the first hour after opening is designed for seniors and other high-risk people to shop for groceries which is why the store is asking others not to come during this time.
I also went to Shoppers in the same plaza: there was no queue, the post office and the pharmacy are both working. By the way, I only needed milk and bread on Saturday, and instead of standing in a line at Highland Farms, I went to Shoppers and bought everything.
In southern Yummy Market (North York location), one of the workers tested positive for COVID-19 and his last working day was March 30. The official statement from Yummy Market declares that they sanitized the store and are open for business again. Same with the Longo’s in both Woodbridge and Vaughan locations.
